CURRENT POLICY BENEFIT

Up to £7,500

Medical expenses

Support towards eligible accidental medical expenses following a covered football injury, subject to a £100 excess.

Policy effective 12 February 2026 to 11 February 2027. Terms, exclusions and eligibility apply.
Professional player cover

Professional cover from £360 per year.

Covering up to £9,000 of eligible injury costs is also available.

The Standard Players Contract

Your club has responsibilities.

Under the new Professional Standard Players Contract, clubs have a legal obligation to cover all injury costs.

PFA NI has worked with clubs to help them secure injury insurance cover at a reasonable cost.

Adult and junior amateur members subscribing to the PFA NI Personal Accident Insurance scheme. Cover and eligibility remain subject to the policy terms.
At home or away fixtures, organised training, team-organised social activity and direct travel to and from away fixtures as part of an organised party. Specific travel exclusions apply.
Tell PFA NI as soon as possible before arranging private treatment. We will explain the claim route, required information and whether prior approval is needed.

01 Download a claim form Download and complete the personal accident and illness claim form.
02 Download a witness statement Ask a relevant witness to complete the statement with details of the incident.
