We as an association believe it is vital that all players should be covered when it comes to injury and the cost of relevant treatment.
Therefore we have scoped the insurance market and secured a policy that protects players when it comes to both short term and long term injuries
Professional and Amateur Injury Policy; For all players on Pro or Amateur contracts playing full time or part time for surgeries, scans, injections and physio up to £9k (Pro) £7.5k (Amateur) and includes £100 per week salary contribution when unable to work.

In June 2026 The PFA Northern Ireland successfully agreed a new contract for all professional status players with The Irish Football Association and all NIFL clubs.
The new contract agreement brings football in NI into line with current employment law and protects players on fundamental issues such as injury protection, holiday pay and maternity.
