FIFPRO is the World Governing Body for Players. As a recognised member of FIFPRO the PFA Northern Ireland are able to lean on this world union organisation for support.

Being able to sit around a table with 72 other associations brings many advantages. It allows us to share what is happening in our local game and tap into the knowledge and expertise of other associations.

FIFPRO undertake many studies and run projects all over the world which we are privileged to be able to share with our members.

We will frequently update this page with those findings in the Men and Women’s game.

Why it’s time to talk about disordered eating in football

One in five women’s players experienced disordered eating over a 12-month period, according to a survey of footballers participating in a FIFPRO-led study tracking their health. Dr Alex Culvin, FIFPRO’s Head of Strategy and Research for Women’s Football, discusses what the football industry can do to address the issue.
